Pink really is the color of the season, and Zayn Malik has just confirmed it with a smoldering selfie. The "One Direction" star debuted his new pink hair on Instagram, joining the likes of Machine Gun Kelly, Megan Fox, and Lizzo to rock the latest color trend.
The singer dropped his latest transformation with no caption, and devoted fans flocked to the comments section to compliment him. Pink hair is a bold statement, but we'd expect nothing less from him. Malik isn't afraid to experiment with edgy hair colors. In fact, he's donned a pink hairstyle in the past. The star's hair-dye history is quite the rainbow. We've seen lilac, blue, green, bleach blond — you name it, he's probably tried it.
Malik's current penchant for pink may be due to the Barbiecore trend that's hot right now. With the highly anticipated upcoming "Barbie" film starring Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie, many celebrities have been incorporating pink into their look in one way or another.
Malik, who left "One Direction" nine months before the band's last performance back in 2015, is notoriously private, however, he's been a little more vocal recently. We love seeing more of him on our feeds — especially when it comes to his ever-changing hair. We hope the pink is more than just a phase, but who knows?
